Campus facilities personnel will be doing some electrical work on Monday, June 19th – they have scheduled it for that official holiday in order to minimize disruption to the campus community. Power to the entire campus is expected to be off twice – once at the commencement of the work and again when it has been completed.
Consequently, the Shared Instrument Lab will close (with all instruments powered down) at 4pm on Friday, June 16th and will remain closed through the weekend. The instruments will be powered up again on the morning of Tuesday, June 20th, and most should be available by 10am. The GCMS will not be available until the afternoon (due to pumpdown time) and the benchtop NMR will require a day to thermally stabilize.
